We carry out our mission of empowering youth and uniting communities through creative expression and intentional acts of kindness. This is a framework we call the 'benny effect' a movement of persistent positivity, unity and encouragement of creativity.
The Benny Effect encompasses every initiative, event, and interaction that shares the values Benny personified. His core pillars of laughter, love, positivity, creativity, and unity are values that he spread to every person and community he came across. Through this foundation, those same values continue to ripple outward in his name.

Benny envisioned going into schools to teach a message of positivity, hope, and realism. Through inspiredbybenny and the Benny Effect, we are bringing that exact vision to life. By partnering with local schools, community centers, and creative spaces, we provide the positivity and encouragement young people need to stay courageous and accomplish their goals. We deliver this vital impact through these Three Core Pillars:

Benshan Robinson
Our Namesake and Honoree
Benshan brought a distinct energy with him. A true creator at heart, someone who looked at the world through an unconventional lens. Whether he was sharing a laugh, expressing himself through his unique style, or diving into his latest creative passion, his authenticity was undeniable. He had a way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories just by being completely himself. Benshan approached everyone with an open heart, and he had a rare gift for making strangers feel like family. From his parents to his siblings, cousins, friends and daughter Benshan has countless loved ones that will forever cherish his love, laughter, memories, creativity, and overall presence that he possessed wherever he went and with whoever he talked to.Â
Our StoryÂ
On the night of February 6th 2026 one unexpected event rippled into the universe and changed the Robinson family's life forever.77 days before his 28th birthday the beloved Benshan was tragically and fatally struck by a vehicle while he was on his way to work. He had been on his way to his job as an in-home caretaker where he was just starting to grow a bond with his patient. From volunteering at shelters, schools and food banks to working in schools as an aid to even having multiple caretaker positions Benshan loved to be in work environments where he was able to positively impact people that were less fortunate. His passing has ignited a new purpose within the Robinson family. The same effect he had to us is the same effect we plan to spread. We along with our works are the benny effect, and invite you to stand with us, carry his spark forward, and help us reshape communities and the world.

"Me and Benshan had originally began to make clothes off of the word and idea of pardon and its definition. He himself was someone involved in and wanting to do tons of nonprofit work so now as his younger brother that knows of all the unfinished work he left behind, I feel it is my mission for this nonprofit to honor him and his art and ultimately positively affect just as much people as I know he would've continued to do"Â -Isiah Robinson
